Why Choose Us?
Why Choose Us ?
Trust Is Everything
When you choose to sail with us, you’re trusting us with your time, your money, and most importantly, your safety. You are trusting us to make important decisions on your behalf to keep you safe and we take that responsibility seriously.
A Lifetime on the Water
I’ve spent my entire life on the water, both commercially and recreationally. I started sailing somewhere around age 6 or 7 and then went on to work as a commercial fisherman starting around age 14 and went full time in the industry at 17. I have accumulated more than 300,000 miles at sea including hundreds of days in the Gulf Stream.
I have dealt with overboard recovery in storm conditions ( I myself was once washed overboard in Force 11 conditions in the Gulf Stream), intense crew dynamics, rescuing other people from boats that went down for various reasons and jury rigging and fixing just about everything you could think of on a boat to get us home or finish the trip.
These experiences gave me a deep respect for the sea and a commitment to preparation, judgment, and safety.
Resolution - Built to Exceptional Standards
According to the man who oversaw her construction at the legendary Cape Dory yard:
“Resolution was the best Cape Dory we ever built.”
Whether sailing oceans or inland waters, Resolution is the right platform for adventure. From the famous Carl Alberg's drafting table to the high end construction from the CD yard in Massachusetts, Cape Dory set out to build the most exceptional boat for sailing to far flung locations that they could come up with and they succeeded with Resolution.
Our Commitment to You
The ocean is an incredible place. It is powerful, beautiful, and indifferent to our presence. My job is to guide each expedition with the highest attention to safety, seamanship, and enjoyment.
I’m fully committed to making our journeys not only safe, but meaningful, exhilarating, and unforgettable.
I look forward to sharing a wheel watch under the stars, a mountain summit or sharing a rope with you someday.
